Client-focused creative professional with more than a decade of experience in design.
Hi! I’m Sydney. I’ve spent the past 13+ years designing and creating professionally, working in journalism, tech, and most recently tourism marketing. Prior to that, I got my degree at The University of Texas (hook ‘em!) in Austin, where I cut my teeth in Adobe, toiling away in a basement several nights a week working on the student newspaper.
Beyond just designing, I excel with people, making clients feel seen and heard and helping them navigate the creative and technical process throughout their project. For the past several years, I’ve been acting in the dual role of both the Creative Lead and Project Manager on close to 50 website projects. (What can I say - when you’re part of a small team, it’s good to be a creatively minded Virgo.)
At the beginning of 2026, I took a step back from my previous full-time role of nearly 7 years a leap into the wild, unpredictable world of freelancing. I’ve continued my partnership with my former employer, while also taking on new design and website projects I couldn’t have dreamed of, have started working more in content creation for social media, and also taught approximately 300 yoga classes in the past six months.
Outside of designing and creating order out chaos on projects, you’ll find me teaching yoga, exploring my new home in Southern California, taking hours-long walks with my dog Osho, or in the kitchen perfecting my croissant techniques or cooking my way through a new cookbook. Stepping away from the computer and exploring my creativity in these ways — whether it’s in the kitchen, working on a new flow sequence, or taking inspiration from the colors of the desert — allows me to do my best work professionally.
